    Chief Operations & Technology Officer, The Auto Group 

    Shohreh Abedi is executive vice president and chief operations and technology officer for The Auto Club Group, an auto insurance provider based in the Detroit area. She has responsibility for all support functions related to membership, call center, and field service operations, including direct sales, automotive repairs, and membership development. In addition, Shohreh Abedi helps ensure that all employees have access to the technology they need to provide an excellent level of service and achieve complete customer satisfaction. This entails research and analytics to identify what solutions best meet the needs of employees and members, as well as implementation of cutting-edge cybersecurity measures to protect personal information. In total, Abedi manages $1.2 billion in capital and operating expenses, 10 direct officers, and 4,500 employees. She is also accountable for a $1.5 billion revenue goal.  

    With more than 25 years of experience in business and technology, Abedi has worked across a range of industries, including healthcare, retail, financial services, and management consulting. These experiences help her align technology development directly with business vision and strategy to optimize workflows. Abedi has helped companies bridge corporate and regional priorities while also improving connectivity across large global organizations. She focuses on developing talent and helping companies achieve profitable growth through the implementation of new technologies and optimized operational effectiveness. 

    Alongside her work at The Auto Club Group, Shohreh Abedi chairs the Midwest Auto Clubs Board and serves as director of the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety Board of Trustees. Previously, she chaired the Technology and Digital Strategy subcommittee for the AAA Federation.  

    Abedi remains actively involved in her professional community by publishing articles on operational efficiency and transformational technology. Over the course of her career, she has received recognition from several organizations for her achievements in these fields, including awards from NASSCOM, Women in Insurance, and Celent.
